Slow Maui is a bit of a funny name, but it highlights that the island lifestyle is different than the mainland. Respect for the land ('āina) and water (wai) and living a balanced life (pono) are essential parts of Hawaiian life. I enjoy working with people who take that seriously. People who will take time (take it slow) to find the right neighborhood and the right home; the right community.

I built Slow Maui because browsing for property here is harder than it needs to be. Much of Maui is condo-based neighborhoods, and understanding those condos (zoning, short-term rentals, exact location of units, hyper-local market trends) was difficult. With Slow Maui everything is right at your fingertips. Perhaps more information than you need. You can browse and understand the market without piecing it together from five different sites.

That instinct comes from my previous career. I spent twenty-five years in technology (as an operating executive, as a venture advisor, and on company boards) and a lot of that work was due diligence: what things are really worth, and what defects can be remedied? A property purchase is a version of the same problem and it deserves the same rigor.

I'm dual Canadian/US, and have lived the cross-border lifestyle for 20+ years. If you're Canadian and considering a move, or part-time, in Maui, I can help untangle all the variables.
